Chapter 42
Chapter
42
I woke with a gasp, my heart pounding in my chest.
Where was 12
I tried to figure out what happened the previous day and where could have been, but everything seemed to be in a daze.
I still felt dizzy, and I struggled to keep my eyes open.
Different thoughts ran through my mind, all of them in a jumbled mess.
It took a while for me to clear my head and the confusion I felt lifted slowly.
That was when it all came to me.
The ball last night, meeting with Father and Silas drugging me.
1 cussed loudly,
I passed out after Silas had drugged me, how long was I out for
And I was more upset about the fact that Sikas had spiked my drink, and I took it.
I never expected that.
How could Silas drug me?
And the way he stared at me like I had meant nothing to him before I finally went unconscious
And maybe I did meet nothing
I tried to pull my hands but then I realized the tightness in my wrists and ankles.
Panic gripped me when I realized I was tied, my arms and legs spread apart, leaving me helpless.
Just like that day.
No. No, not again.
Not again, please.
1 thrashed against the restraints, the feeling of being bound throwing me back to the day Phillip had tortured me.
I could still remember the way I had felt helpless, the pain I felt and my ribs burning
Everything came crashing down and I thrashed harder against the restraints.
This can't be happening again, I can't be tortured again.
My breathing quickened, and the walls around me seemed to close in on me.
The memory of his hands on me and his cruel taunts overwhelmed my senses. How could I be put into this position
My heart pounded so hard, I thought it might stop.

"Calin down," Silas's cold voice cut through my panic, but the tone did little to soothe me
Why had he tied me up and then asked me to calm down?
I couldn't calm down if I was in this position.
"Let me down, Silas," I gasped, pulling at my restraints, but Silas didn't come to help.
He just stood there, standing a few feet away watching me with that same detached expression he always wore.
I couldn't stop thrashing
1 needed to get out. I needed to breathe.
"Get over it. Silas ordered his voice firm.
"Whatever fear you're feeling right now, push it aside."
Push it aside?
How could I do that?
I was tortured for hours in this position, slipping in and out of consciousness, and I was expected to calm down.
I felt Silas' hands by my sides holding me in place.
Tm not here to hurt you, Katrina, you need to trust me,"
I gasped for air, struggling to obey.
I don't know about trusting him. He had drugged me and tied me here.
What was his reason for doing that?
My heart raced so fast it hurt, but I forced myself to focus on his words.

Slowly, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to slow fny breathing. I took deep breaths as Istried to control my though pushing away the terrible memory.
The images of Phillip began to fade, leaving me shaken but conscious of where I was.
I was with Silas, not Phillip...
Silas isn't Phillip and he won't hurt me.
I repeated this in my head like a mantra, letting myself relax.
Squeezing my eyes shut, I tried to shove down the lingering pane and the memories.
My heart still thundered in my chest, but at least I could breathe again.
After a moment, I became aware of something else my skin was bare.
My eyes snapped open, and I realized with a jolt that I was naked.
Silas had taken off my clothes
"Where are my clothes?" I asked, my voice shaky, I didn't miss how vulnerable I sounded but I couldn't help it.
Π
I looked around, noticing that it was just Silas in the room and we were in some sort of dark room and my mouth moved before my brain did.
"What's this, some sort of new kink of yours?" 1 muttered sarcastically, trying to cover my fear.
I wasn't sure what Silas planned to do with me, but the position was in seemned almost... Sexual.
It was different than when Phillip had tied me up, the restraints weren't even as tight as Phillip had done it.
Just what was Silas planning?
Silas's eyes darkened as he looked at me.
"Seems like you've gotten over your trauma if you're being sarcastic."
I bit down on my lip, the reality of the situation sinking in further.
My wrists ached as I swayed slightly, my hands dangling from the chain connected to the ceiling.
The cool air hit my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
"What did say about trying to escape?" Silas asked, stepping closer and placing a hand on my bare stomach, stopping my swaying motion
His touch sent a jolt through me, but I couldn't tell if it was fear, excitement, or both.
It was probably going to be the latter cause I swallowed thickly.
So this was about me trying to escape with Matthew?
Yes, he had told me not to try and escape again and I went against what he said.
What would he do to me then?
Silas stared at me as he waited for me to answer. I could feel my heart beating at a million miles
per
hour.
"You said not to," I whispered, barely able to get the words out.
"And then what did you do?" His voice remained calm, and I swallowed thickly, trying to steady my breathing.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
"I disobeyed. I confessed, my voice barely above a whisper,
Silas's eyes glinted dangerously. "Now, I'll show you what happens to disobedient girls.
