Chapter 611 Satisfaction
Chapter 611 Satisfaction
"If none of you will inherit my business, what will happen to it?" Sebastian questioned.
Joel tilted his head and pondered for a moment before looking at Madeline. "Mommy can have another baby! No, perhaps a pair of twins!"
Quincy nodded in agreement. "Mommy, you should have a pair of twins. It'd be perfect if we had a brother and a sister."
"I agree!" Joel nodded his tiny head fervently. "Our younger brother can inherit Daddy's business, while our younger sister can play with us. It'll be perfect!"
Madeline was speechless at that.
Her sons had made their plans quite clear, but having twins was more challenging than it seemed.
Sebastian chuckled and looked at Madeline. "It's a good idea, and I think it could work."
"What do you mean it could work?" Madeline smiled playfully. "Are you making the call, or is it me?"
"I make the calls!" Joel raised his little hand high. "Mommy will definitely have twins!"
Madeline pinched his little nose. "Let's eat!"
"Okay. Let's eat!" Joel sat in his designated chair with big, shiny eyes as he looked at the delicious food on the table. "I love eating!"
Madeline was at a loss for words once again.
Her son wasn't persistent at all, as he could switch out of the topic so quickly.
His character matched what he told his father, "I want to sit back, relax, and be a couch potato!"
A couch potato certainly did not possess persistence.
After the meal, Sebastian left for the office and dropped off Quincy and Joel at school on the way.
Madeline watched her husband and kids leave before going to Leigh's place. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
Although her dream wasn't to be a couch potato, she felt that her current life was similar to one.
Maids and helpers were everywhere in the house to take care of her two children. She didn't have to fetch them to and from school, nor did she have to cook. The Hart Family even hired chefs and cooks who prepared delicious meals for the two children every day.
Laundry, cooking, and cleaning were all taken care of by professionals, so she didn't have to worry about anything.
Moreover, Oasis Law Office was located in front of Sun Garden. It could take one or two hours for others to commute to work, but she could walk there in a few minutes.
Although the yard was large, it was also extremely beautiful. Whenever she strolled on the lanes, her mood would be lifted. It felt like taking a walk; hence, she never complained about the long distance.
Previously, she had never imagined that she could have such a luxurious, happy, and comfortable life. She need not worry or take care of anything. Every day, she could live the life she wanted and do whatever she wanted.
She met a man who changed her life forever. Looking back now, it still felt like a dream to her.
Recalling Sebastian's handsome and unparalleled face as well as his indulgent and gentle smile, Madeline couldn't help but beam.
A smile was plastered on her face throughout the walk until she arrived at Leigh's place.
After knocking on the door and entering Leigh's abode, she saw the latter lying on the couch watching a movie.
She walked over with a smile and sat down. "Life is going well for you, isn't it?"
"Likewise." Leigh reached out and pinched her cheek. "Look at you, already glowing early in the morning. How did Sebastian flirt with you this time?"
Madeline was speechless at first. "When will you start being serious?"
"I've always been serious!" Leigh rebuked. "I never speak nonsense. Would you dare to say that I'm not telling the truth?"
"Yes." Madeline nodded. "What you said is not true."
"I don't believe it," Leigh snorted while tapping her cheek. "Look at those rosy cheeks, affectionate eyes, and that blooming smile on your face. You obviously look like a woman nurtured by love. I won't believe it if you say Sebastian didn't flirt with you this morning."
"He seriously didn't," Madeline said helplessly. "Quincy and Joel have been with me the whole time. What can he do to flirt with me? You, on the other hand…"
Madeline scanned her friend's face. "Affectionate eyes and blooming smile, huh? Are you sure you're not talking about yourself? Seems like Young Master Lucas is taking good care of you."
"Of course he is!" Leigh raised her chin proudly and boasted, "He's a devoted husband. Whatever I say, he does. He's much easier to get along with than Sebastian."
Patting Madeline on the shoulder, she lamented, "I feel bad that you have to deal with such a difficult man."
Madeline went silent at that.
After a moment of silence, she asked, "Should I say thank you?"
Upon racking her brains, all she could come up with was this sentence.
Leigh made a face at her, teasing, "You're welcome."
Madeline shook her head speechlessly and glanced at her injured arm. "Is your injury getting better?"
"It's all good now." Leigh sighed. "Do you know how great it is to be injured? I don't even want to recover anymore. You have no idea how attentive and obedient Young Master Lucas has been to me these days. He listens to everything I say and takes care of me in every way possible. It's amazing!"
"How would I know?" Madeline then added, "Everyone who knows Lucas knows how kind he is. You better watch out and refrain from bullying him."
"Huh?" Leigh looked her up and down. "In what capacity are you saying this? My best friend or Lucas' sister-in-law?"
"Does it matter?" Madeline retorted.
"Yes, it does!" Leigh hugged her neck. "Although I'm happy to see you and Sebastian being so loving to each other, you can't betray me!"
"Get off me." Madeline pushed her away with a smile. "I think you're just too bored. That's why you're talking nonsense. How's Riley? Is she feeling better?"
After Riley left the Lynch Family, Derek brought her here and paid for her accommodation, entrustment, as well as her medical treatment, asking Leigh to treat her condition and take care of her.
Since Oasis Law Office was originally a business entity, she naturally accepted the request and let Riley stay.
"Of course," Leigh uttered lazily. "When I make a move, I have full confidence in curing the patient's illness. Did you really have to ask?"
Madeline smiled and shook her head while poking Leigh's temple. "What a shameless doctor!"
"What? Don't—"
Leigh didn't finish her sentence when Madeline's phone rang.
Madeline's phone consisted of dual SIM cards, one for her family and the other for work. Only her family and close friends were aware of her family number, while the work number was exclusively for professional purposes.
She even assigned distinct ringtones to each of the two numbers.
Judging from the ringtone, she could tell that it was her work number calling.
She retrieved her phone from her pocket and glanced at the screen displaying an unfamiliar number.
Then, she answered the call and placed the phone against her ear, greeting, "Hello, this is Oasis Law Office."
Soon, a young and pleasant girl's voice came through. "Hello, this is Zoe Lynch. I told Riley that I'd come and visit her. I'm currently outside your office. May I come up?"
