Chapter 956
Frowning impatiently, "What's up? Spit it out!"
"I mean, it's about the family-owned supermarket..."
The bad news had just hit them last night; there was a problem with a batch of seafood supplies. The supermarket had dealings with numerous restaurants and businesses.
If this gap couldn't be filled, it would undoubtedly spell disaster for both parties.
"Such a huge loss..."This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Malvina looked utterly distressed, "We might have to shut down a bunch of franchises."
And that was just the tip of the iceberg. What followed was the potential tarnishing of their reputation, and currently, several partners were already on the verge of pulling out.
"With such a massive issue at hand, we're really out of options."
Malvina's eyes brimmed with anxiety, "I've racked my brain, and my only choice was to swallow my pride and ask for your help!"
"?" Sherilyn was taken aback, "Asking me?"
"Yes..."
Malvina offered a sheepish grin, her audacity unmistakable.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have snatched her brother-in-law from her own sister years ago!
"I know I've wronged you, you must hate me to the core, my fate wouldn't concern you, but what about Galen?"
She said, "Galen sees you as his own sister! He didn't hesitate to donate bone marrow to Jenna! Now that he's in trouble, can you, as his sister, just stand by and watch him suffer?"
"
Sherilyn listened silently, her brows knitting together.
Towards the Martin family, towards Malvina, her hatred was deep-seated! Even if they were reduced to living on the streets, she wouldn't spare them a shred of sympathy.
But she had to admit, Galen was Malvina's trump card.
Yet, she was puzzled, "Have you lost your mind? Coming to me for help? What can I possibly do?"
"You might not be able to..."
Seeing that Sherilyn hadn't entirely dismissed the idea, Malvina perked up.
"But Mr. Gilbert... Mr. Nine, he could! You know about the Harrison family, right?"
Through Gilbert, Sherilyn had come to know a bit about them.
l
The Harrison family had an expansive business empire, most notably in finance and logistics. Naylor had been a titan in the business world for over fifty years, bearing the title of a mogul in
finance and logistics.
"Just one word from Mr. Nine, leveraging his logisticswork, and our crisis could be easily resolved!"
Malvina pleaded urgently, "Sherilyn, please, do it for Galen! A word from Mr. Nine is just a word from you!" Just a word?
Sherilyn felt powerless and helpless.
Why did it always have to come back to Gilbert?
Frowning, she slowly shook her head, "I can't help with this."
"What?" Malvina was shocked, unable to believe, "Did you not hear me? I'm not asking for me, I'm asking for Galen!" "I said, I can't help."
Looking up, Sherilyn noticed Naomi had arrived, probably waiting quietly after seeing her in conversation with Malvina. Sherilyn nodded at her, "Naomi, let's go."
"Alright."
"Sherilyn! Sherilyn!"
Malvina was frantic, chasing after her, "You can't just ignore Galen! Did you hear me?"
She was both angry and anxious, seeing Sherilyn unwilling to agree, revealing her true colors.
"Galen's been so worried about this
that he couldn't sleep last night, running around trying to fix it! He
sees you as his real sister, are you just using him? Sherilyn, have you no conscience?"
S
...
"Cut!"
Caleb, for what seemed like the umpteenth time today, had to call a cut, rarely losing his patience with Sherilyn.
"That's not right! You're supposed to
show sadness, not zoning out! Can you not tell the difference between being sad and being distracted?"
"I'm sorry..."
Sherilyn apologized, head bowed and lips pursed.
"Let's take a break! Get yourself back in the right state!"
"Sure, Mr. Marshall."
