When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 237

What? Evelina claiming she was a student at Orvin University?

Lemira couldn't help but snort with laughter, "Evelina, did you hit your head too hard last time? You think scoring zero on your tests makes you Orvin material?"

"Tsk, knew you wouldn't believe it. Orvin University's Business School doesn't just focus on grades, you know. Asher personally pulled some strings for me. Jealous much?" Evelina was still seething over the surveillance footage incident last time and found no where to vent her anger.

Luckily, because playing the sympathetic figure had softened Asher's heart enough to secure her a spot at Orvin University's Business School.

Lemira got the gist and her tone dripped with sarcasm, "Oh, I get it. Your so-called Business School is just a diploma mill."

As if zero scores would get anyone into Orvin University! Even if Asher had connections, it wouldn't stretch that far!

Evelina was fuming, her face turning a shade of beetred, but without a comeback - her confidence was shot.

"Where does this country bumpkin get off calling Orvin University's Business School a diploma mill?"

Lemira caught a whiff of overpowering perfume before seeing a girl, decked out in designer gear and with an unmistakable air of cosmetic enhancement, approaching.

Susanna Sinclair looked down on Lemira, "Country bumpkin, don't embarrass yourself if you don't know any better. You, with your grades, might have squeezed into Orvin, but you'll always just be working for someone else. Our Business School breeds leaders, the ones you'll be calling boss someday!"

Lemira had never heard of such ridiculous remarks. Was flaunting wealth an Orvin thing?

She noticed the crowd around them bowed their heads, daring not speak. Clearly, this student from the Business School was not to be messed with.

Evelina recognized the girl immediately - Ms. Sinclair.

After all, there were only a handful of freshmen, and she had researched her classmates thoroughly.

Evelina hurriedly told Lemira, "You better apologize now, stop making a scene."

Lemira's expression was impassive, "I didn't say anything wrong."

"Oh, so defiant, country bumpkin. If you don't get on your knees and apologize right now, I promise you'll regret your next four years at university!"

Lemira, having faced death before, was unfazed by the threat. She grabbed her documents, pulled her suitcase, and left without giving Susanna another glance.

Susanna, used to getting her way, had never been treated like that. Livid, she turned to Evelina, "What's her name?"

"She's Lemira. We went to the same high school. She's always had a bad rep back then, even got into early romance with a school doctor and moved out to live with him!" "Tsk, a little tramp dares to cross me? She's done for!"

Susanna felt humiliated like never before.

Her sister was engaged to theProperty belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

Everhart heir, the top family at Orvin. Who wouldn't respect her? A girt from the sticks thinking she could look down on the Business School?

Evelina watched Lemira's retreating figure with a gloating smirk. Lemira had made an enemy of a wealthy heiress on her first day. Her future time wouldn't be that easy

Lemira dragged her suitcase to the dorm building.

Pushing open the door to her room, with its bunk bed and desk setup, she chose a spot and began to make her bed.

Soon, two other students arrived, their parents in tow, laden with belongings. Lemira, alone and with minimal luggage, looked out of place.

A parent approached her, "Are you here by yourself? On such an important day, aren't your parents coming?"

Lemira replied blandly, "My parents died in a car accident when I was young."

The parent's face fell into an

awkward expression at her words "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, dear, D-Do you need any help with your things? You don't seem to have brought enough stuff."
