The Triplets' Fighter Luna

Chapter 161

EMMA POV

When I woke up the next morning, I could tell that the sun was only just coming up but there

were plenty of voices outside already.

I rolled over and saw that Walker was gone, so I got up and I had to be prepared for what I was going to see when I walked outside. Or rather, I had to be prepared for the curious stares that I got when I walked out of the Alpha's house at first light.

When I slowly opened the door, Walked was the first person I saw.

He was standing just outside, but there were a lot of people that were also standing out there and they were giving me the look that I was expecting.

He turned and smiled at me before he walked over and held my hand. Bringing me down in

front of his whole pack.

"Alright. You've all had your chances to ask Emma a lot of questions about packs on the outside since she's been here. You've learnt a lot. Especially about fated mates. Well, I believe the Moon Goddess sent Emma here for a reason. I recently found out that she is my fated mate. The Moon Goddess sent her to me specifically and we are meant to be." Walker

explained to his whole pack.

"How is that going to work? She's a princess who lives in a castle. You never wanted us to live

in those packs." A woman said.

"I know that. We haven't worked out those logistics yet. But we will. The werewolf community isn't ruled by the council anymore. It's ruled by the royal family. The way our ancestors wanted werewolves to be ruled."

"So, we're rejoining her pack?" Another woman asked.

"I already told you. We haven't made any decisions yet. We have a lot to talk about and don't worry, we will work it out. We'll work out something that will help everyone. I promise." Walker announced.

Once Walker answered everyone's questions, they started to wander off and start doing their usual chores while I headed to the barn where I sat down playing with the baby chickens. "Are you alright?" Dahlia asked, walking into the barn.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because you're usually really talkative. But you didn't say anything when the Alpha was

telling us all that stuff." She said.

"It's nothing that I can't sort out."

"I know that you think I'm going to run back to everyone and tell them. But I promise that I won't. You can talk to me." She said.

"I know. But right now, I don't really know what to say." I said.

"Alright. Well, let's get these things fed." She said.

So we got started with work and we fed all the animals and collected the eggs and milked the COWS.

Once we finished doing that we took the food and milk to the kitchen area where the women cooked, so I decided to stay there and help them cook breakfast.

The women that were cooking were looking at me strangely.

They were only just getting used to me and now they know that I'm mated to their Alpha and they know that things are going to change now. They know that everything is going to change. And the fact that I wasn't talking much or making direct eye contact with them was probably making them nervous.

I saw Walker around the pack a lot today and he would look over to see what I was doing, but I

would quickly look away and keep doing what I was doing.

I had so much to try and figure out.

I know that Walker and his pack didn't want to change the way they lived. I know that they want to stay completely independent but I can't deny that I'm the werewolf princess. And it's not like I can pass the throne off to someone else. I'm an only child. The throne has to go to

me because it has to stay in the family.

It was really hard trying to concentrate on everything that I had to concentrate on while I had

so much on my mind.

So I ended up excusing myself and I walked off into the forest.

I walked to the river that Walker also loved going to.

I knew that he would follow me, but I would deal with that later.

When I got to the side of the river, I slid in and realized that it was a lot deeper than I thought so I started swimming downstream before I started swimming back.

Luckily the current was practically non existent so it was more of a leisurely swim than a

f*****g marathon against the current.

When I got back to my starting point, I saw Walker sitting on the rocks next to the water.

I swam over to him and rested my arms on the rock and put my head on my arms while I was still in the water.

"You've been avoiding me all day. Did I do something wrong?" Walker asked.

"No. Of course not. Your pack has a right to know." I said.

"Well, why are you avoiding me? I'm really starting to wonder what's involved with this mate

bond."

"That's the problem. I know what's involved with this mate bond. And the longer I stay here the harder it is for me to reject you and you will probably not accept my rejection." I said. "I have to actually accept it?" He asked.

"Yeah. If you don't accept it then the mate bond will stay there. And if I wasn't the princess...if I

was anyone else then this would be so much f*****g easier." I said.

"You have to go back." He said.

I slowly looked up at him before I nodded my head. "Alright. Then we do have a lot to figure out. Because I am not rejecting you and I am not accepting your rejection." He said. "Sometimes I think I've told you too much. But even if a rejection was going to happen, I would have to tell you to accept it or decline it." I said.

Walker smirked at me, knowing that I was right and I didn't really have a choice here. I did have to tell him all of that and no matter how cut off from the world they are, they are a lot smarter than people would think that they are. They aren't as primitive as others might think. Just because they would rather be self sufficient and hidden away doesn't mean they're stupid.

I actually think it's really smart.novelbin

I never get to do any of this stuff back at home. And honestly, sometimes I would rather do this sort of stuff rather than be waited on all the time.

"Do you think your people are looking for you?" He asked.

"I know that they are. But they aren't going to find me." I said.

"How do you know that? I imagine the royal family would have the best trackers at their disposal." He said.

+8 Paint:

"Yeah. They do. But I've also put a shield over this pack so no one can find it." I announced. He started looking up and around to see the shield but it was obviously invisible. Unless someone tried to walk through it or touch it. "It's just until I know what I'm going to do. I don't want anyone else influencing my decision. And that's exactly what my family and friends will do." I said.

"You put up a shield for us?" He asked.

"Yeah. You and me. Let me know if you want me to take it down." I said.

"No. Don't do that. Not yet. But I will let my patrols know. Will it hurt if they hit it?"

"They'll get a shock." I said.

"I better go and tell them." He chuckled as he got up and walked away.

I guess he thought it would be funny for his patrols to get a shock if they went too close to the shield.

So I pushed back from the rocks and kept swimming.
