Chapter 24: No longer interested
CHAPTER 24.
Fanuel’s Pov.
We were seated in the sky viewer office with the CEO of Oak Bay Mining industry. The bald head Man seemed to be having fun as he kept declining every suggestion we made.
Jayden refused to come over so I literally dragged Edward.
The dude is always free as he has workers around his beck and calls running a fashion line for him.
The secretary, Accountant, and the head of department are present too. I’m yet to have a new manager and I don’t think I will have any time soon.
“We can’t concede to your terms Mr Fanuel, My board members are already on the trail to recover their funds by all means. The case has been adjourned to court and it’s left for you to appear before the court next week or the Registrar of companies will shut down your company for fraudulent bankruptcy of other companies investments.”
“We are here because we don’t want to appear before the court. We just need time to work out your reasons for the investment in Hudson’s chemicals, we would get to work as soon as possible but next week isn’t enough to get the proper equipment and professionals to start this project.”
“Mr Fanuel, The company as a whole is no longer interested in the project, the contract was already terminated the day your company failed to carry on the project till the deadline, We want our money back!”
“And that’s why I’m saying that will take time!” I’m trying so hard not to yell at this Man, Like doesn’t he get it? Yes! He needs a refund but it’s going to take time. I need to get married and sign the billion dollar contract. We need to start working at the presidential white house basement to get at least half of the payment to clear their pending contract.
Even if they will pay us any money right now, it won’t still be enough to clear what they invested!
“Mr Kyle, all I’m saying is that.. Taking us to court won’t do any of us good, It won’t clear the debt faster and it won’t make the company carry on its activities once it’s shut down.”
“Exactly!” He exclaimed.
“What?”
“That’s exactly what we want! For your company to be shut down, so we can let our eyes and ears rest in peace from the media declarations, promotions and congratulatory news everywhere”
I balled my fingers into a fist in anger as I stared intently at him.
“So you’re directly saying You’re jealous of their success in the chemical industry?” Edward asked in surprise.
“No I’m not jealous, I’m pissed!!”
“Wow” The Accountant gasped and we all stared at him.
“I hate the fact that your father, Hudson took away every opportunity Oak Bay should have gotten, he won contracts with federal ministries and presidential personalities! He robbed us the chance to explore our expertise! I hate the fact that your company is one of the influential, toppest, and richest company in the whole of the fucking America!! And now that is crumbling gives me nothing but joy, The company would soon shut down and Oak bay can take over New Jersey!
We would be able to breathe and stop hearing about the billionaire’s handsome son running all over our faces everyday.”
He banged the table in anger and I laughed. I laughed so hard that everyone got confused.
“Wow! That’s a very sweet confession. I never knew you were so much in love with Hudson’s chemical technologies.” I tell him sarcastically.
“What Jayden said was actually right, Forget the smiles and investment; they actually want your downfall. Thank you for fueling the passion in me, Mr Kyle.
Now I know that Oak Bay has the best interest in our company.”
“Get rid of the sarcasm Fanuel, You’re already doomed and there’s nothing you can do about it. See you in court and please leave my office.”
I signaled my board members to get up and I smiled deadly at him.
“The attribute you mentioned was the Hudson Cruise Style of success. What you’re about to hear, see and experience is that of Fanuel Hudson. It’s going to be earth shattering!! I will pay your debt and I will wipe off this company from the face of this earth when I’m back!!
Mark my words!” I told him and I swore to see him shake in fear, I smiled within and I left the building.
The Broadcasting network and the press crew were all over me the moment I stepped out, trying their best to shove phones, mic, speaker and microchips in my mouth.
I seethed with anger and surprise, these douchebags!
“Mr Fanuel, are you finally sealing the contract with Oakbay?”
What were the terms and conditions given regarding the pending contract of Oak Bay?”
“How do you feel knowing the company is going to shut down as a result of your failure?”
“You’re to appear before the court next week. What are the slim chances of winning?”
“When are you getting married, and why is your fiance’s identity hidden?Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
My men tried to shove them off but I stopped them, I can’t keep running away from these questions.
“It’s okay, let me answer them.” I told them and they nodded.
“The contract is yet to reach final agreement and we’re totally working on that, probably by the end of this week.”
“As regards to your wedding, are you getting married in a bid to save the company from shutting down or because you are in love with her?” A reporter asked.
“I’m getting married because it’s high time I got married.”
“Fanuel Hudson, there’s a 60 percent possibility that your company might likely shut down, what are you doing about this?”
“A lot, and I got it all covered. Hudson chemical technologies isn’t going to shut down anytime soon and we aren’t appearing before the court. We are making progress in clearing every pending contract, especially the ones outside the country, we will compensate for the time wasted and the inconveniences we put them through.”
“Your manager who made away with millions, how far have you gone with the investigations?”
“The FBI are on it and hopefully, we’ll get the culprit.”
“Are you in love with your fiancee or is it an arranged marriage?” I gasped at the reporter who asked such a question.
