The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 88 - Learning from Experience

Chapter 88 - Learning from Experience

"Why did I feel the urge to punch that guy the second he showed up? Do you know him?"

Patrick asked Cash with a hint of exasperation in his voice, feeling instantly provoked by Arthur's

presence. Even more so, Patrick had never seen him before, indicating he was certainly not someone

of great importance.

It was natural for Patrick, who had a vast network, to be acquainted with many remarkable individuals

in Southlake and even beyond its borders; however, this was not the case with the man standing before

them.

"I haven't got a clue who that jerk is,"

Cash Todd fumed, his irritation growing as he saw Arthur, so young and yet presumptuous enough to

think he was worthy of sitting next to him and Patrick, who had so much influence.

"Let's give him a lesson in manners and respect – show him who's boss," he added.

"I guarantee you," Patrick replied confidently, "that I will make him kneel before me in front of

everyone."

Arthur stepped confidently up to Patrick and Cash with a nod and a warm smile.

"Good evening, Mr. Winter and Mr. Todd," he said briefly before taking a seat next to Cash Todd, who

was in the middle. He then crossed his legs casually, his attention no longer on the two of them.

Patrick clenched his fists tightly, his anger boiling up inside him. This was an unbearable humiliation for

someone with as much power as he had. He could tell that Arthur, the foolish young man, was

completely oblivious to the consequences of his actions.

With a loud crash, Patrick slammed his fist into the glass table in front of him and rose, marching

towards Arthur. "What do you think you're doing?" he demanded.

Patrick glared at Arthur, incredulous. "How dare you come so casually in front of me? Who do you think

you are? Don't you know who I am? Do you think you're so important? Are you really that stupid that

you think it's okay to act like that in front of me?” he added, pointing his finger at Arthur accusingly.

Arthur raised his two eyebrows, giving Patrick a questioning look. Then he raised his face to meet

Patrick's gaze.

"Yes, Mr. Winter? Is there something wrong with my behavior? Please tell me if I did something wrong

so I can improve for the future," he requested humbly.

Patrick sneered at Arthur and sternly said, "You need to learn some manners from your seniors, boy.

Who do you think you are? Are you sure you're in the right place?"

Cash glanced at Arthur, not recognizing him. "You'd better leave, because this seat is reserved for

people with money, and I don't think you fit that criteria," he said mockingly.

"Hmm..." Arthur responded thoughtfully. "If the qualifications to be a judge on this show are those who

have money," he continued, his voice calm and confident, "I believe I meet that criterion."

The commotion that occurred in the studio when Arthur Gardner showed up had instantly caught the

attention of the audience. Even though they were familiar with Patrick Winter and Cash Todd, not many

of them knew who Arthur was.

"Who is that man? Arthur Gardner? I've never heard his name. Is it true that he is a credible person to

be the judge? He's still so young, is he worthy?"

"If I'm not mistaken, I saw him at Claudina's concert a few weeks ago. Apparently, he caused quite a

stir with the VIP guests there."

"Are you saying that Arthur is a fraud and a troublemaker? I'm sure he should leave this place soon. I

think this Business Takeover event will be ruined if someone who doesn't have credibility like him

becomes a potential investor."

"Furthermore, are you certain that he, given his age, has funds comparable to those of Mr. Winter and

Mr. Todd? I think the producers of this show have made a grave error. This is truly a major setback for

an event as popular as this one," another one said.

"I can't even imagine what he will do against such influential people as Mr. Winter and Mr. Todd. I'm

sure he'll be overwhelmed and collapse before the audience,"

Arthur took a deep breath, then smiled faintly at Patrick. He had spent considerable time researching

the background of the two people standing before him. He was aware that Patrick was one of the five

Underworld leaders. With this realization, Arthur now knew the identity of three out of the five.

Yes, Arthur will take action to teach The Underworld a lesson for their reckless behavior, but he will do

it gradually and ensure that it has a lasting impact on them.

For this reason, Arthur must do all he can to protect his reputation and arm himself with the best troops

and resources available to ensure he has the necessary strength to fight them all.

Arthur stood up, took out two business cards, and placed them on the glass table beside them.

"Ah, that's right," he said, "I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. I own the Golden Park

Restaurant, the Golden Park Chamber Hotel, and the Brown Company. Though I'm sure my wealth

cannot compare to the two of you, I'm confident I can help at least one entrepreneur tonight."Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Cash glanced at the business card Arthur was showing him, feeling unsure of what he had heard. He

had indeed heard that the ownership of Golden Group had been taken over by someone, yet he hadn't

expected that person to be standing in front of him.

Cash swallowed his saliva, embarrassed for having underestimated Arthur. If Arthur could purchase a

business of that size, it meant he was indeed of great wealth, even though Cash was utterly unaware of

Arthur's true identity.

"I think the committee forgot to mention my identity,"

Arthur said quietly, a faint smile playing on his lips as he proffered his business card to Patrick, who

was now glaring at it.

Meanwhile, Patrick had just become aware of the news about the Brown Company - a firm closely

linked to The Underworld - that had been taken over by someone, and who had even had the audacity

to fire the CEO, who was part of The Underworld.

Patrick then smiled faintly and laughed lightly, his eyes filled with malicious glee as he lifted his face

towards Arthur. "I see, I see..." he murmured, feeling an air of excitement course through him. Never

before had he seen someone act so bravely in front of him.

"I see, Arthur Gardner," he continued, a sinister smirk gracing his lips. "Now I know who you are."

Patrick felt more and more eager to exact revenge on Arthur, to humiliate him in front of the crowd and

make every decision he had ever made a path of destruction for him.

"I see, Arthur Gardner," he said, his voice laced with the anger he was barely able to contain.

"You are very clever to have dared to openly show yourself in front of me. Now show me if you really

are as rich as you say you are."
