Chapter 195
Rachel stared at the scene before her in disbelief. What was going on? Terry had never been easy to talk to, and he'd been so harsh to her earlier. Why was he being so respectful to Matthew now? Matthew turned Terry down. "I'm busy. I don't have time for lunch with you. We can eat when it's time for your next treatment session!"
He headed over to Rachel. Seeing that she was still dazed, he said, "Let's go!"
"Huh? Okay."
She returned to her senses. She wanted to ask about Terry's decision to pull out his investment but could only suppress her curiosity when Matthew didn't say anything.
It looked like she would have to wait until they left the building before she could get answers.
Terry smiled at her and said, "I'm sorry for my earlier rudeness, Ms. Carter. Don't mind me. Just know that I won't pull out my investment anymore. If you need any help, just say the word. I promise I'll get it done for you!" Rachel felt like she was dreaming. She didn't expect Matthew to resolve the problem so easily.
...
Meanwhile, Sheldon's expression twisted more with every passing second. It had been 14... 15... 16 minutes! Why were they taking so long? Had Terry changed his mind? It couldn't be!
He had faith in Terry's promise and believed the latter wouldn't change his mind just because Rachel had come in person. Still, he couldn't help becoming increasingly agitated.
He checked his watch. 17 minutes had passed, but Rachel and Matthew had yet to come out.
He was about to head inside to check on things when the door opened. Rachel and Matthew walked out with big smiles on their faces. Terry was behind them as he walked them out. How had things turned out like this? Sheldon was baffled. Terry had promised him! Why had he suddenly changed his mind?
When he saw the broad grins on Rachel's and Matthew's faces, his expression turned steely, and he stormed off.
Back in his car, he pulled out his phone and called a person named Leslie Locke. "How's it going? Did you manage to speak to all those herb planters?"
Leslie sounded excited on the other end of the line. "Yep! They stay too far apart though. It's gonna take too long to purchase the herbs from them separately."
A hint of hysteria flitted past Sheldon's face. "Send more cars and people so that they can work together. Speed things up!"

A man named Ethan Durbin laid inside an office at Ozenia Charity's headquarters. A woman laid beside him. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
She turned to look at him and said, "I'm grateful to you for sponsoring me to study in Eastoria, Mr. Durbin, and I've served you for many years now. Our contract should be expiring soon, right?"
Ethan sat up and caressed her hair. "Contracts are nothing but useless pieces of paper. Don't overthink this. Our friendship will last forever.
"You don't have a job since you've just returned, right? I have a simple job that can help you earn big bucks."
Haley Kloss looked overjoyed. "What is it? Does it really provide such good benefits?"
Ethan laughed. "Have you heard of someone called Jason Cobain?"
Haley frowned slightly. "He's my uncle. My aunt's husband actually."
"Oh!" Ethan looked pleased. "That's great!

She laughed. "500 thousand dollars
