Frank still did not respond, however, releasing her and beckoning for everyone to head back to the camp.

Frank nodded and gestured for Tigris and the others to return to their tents.

A woman was washing clothes out in the courtyard, and quickly asked when she saw them, "Yes? How can I help you?"

Frank walked up and asked, "My friend would like to borrow your place to take a bath. Is that alright with you? Don't worry, we'll pay you!"

amounting to five hundred, which he had prepared beforehand. Even if smartphones were commonplace these days, the elderly tended to be poor with technology, though one would rather have a smartphone instead of not having one when they needed it.

And seeing money being offered, the woman was even more pleased and promptly led Lara to the bathroom.

Seeing that she had everything she needed in the bathroom, Lara was left earnestly impressed as the times had really improved.

While she started bathing after testing the temperature of the bathwater, Frank was strolling around idly outside.

he bought a couple from the woman. He even helped her clean up the courtyard while Lara was taking her time.

He was about to charge right in, but he stopped when he remembered that Lara might be naked, instead shouting, "Lara? Are you alright?!" "Get in here! I-I'm scared!" Lara yelled from inside, almost tearful.

Frank was not sure how to react and rushed forward, stamped the rat to death, and kicked its corpse out of the bathroom. "Thanks," Lara said, hugging herself tighter just then.

"It's nothing. Carry on."

With that, Frank quickly ran out of the bathroom, carefully closing the door.

The villager, who was plucking the feathers off the chicken, laughed "Kid, don't you think what just happened looks familiar? I've seen so much of it on TV."
