The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

We were holding each other screaming expecting to meet our end by some demon.

We soon stopped once we realized the person standing there was actually her mother.

We looked at each other quickly letting go of the other blushing. We were so embarrassed we couldn't

even say anything.

Her mom smiled at the two of us. “Aww Roxanne is this your boyfriend he's so cute” She exclaimed. I

smiled at her trying to ignore the fact that my face was on fire.

“Mom this is Aiden my friend” Roxy said, her face still a bright shade of pink and her mom nodded.

“I know who you're talking about. You know what I could have sworn I've heard something about you

before you joined this pack,” Her mom said and I felt like every color that was in my face was now

gone.

“What is she talking about?” Roxy asked and I groaned internally cursing my luck. Of course something

like this would come up so soon after the talk we had.

“No disrespect ma'am I don't believe I know what you're talking about” I said the guilt gnawing at me.

She shrugged “It probably was nothing anyways. Roxy I need you to run to the store for me” Roxy

groaned slipping out of bed.

“Okay do you have a list for me this time?” She asked her mom who rolled her eyes as she held out a

piece of paper.

Roxy grabbed this list slipping on her shoes as her mom waved goodbye to me stepping out of the

room.

“Can you come with me? You know just in case I need someone to reach on the higher shelves for me.

I can never touch anything up there” She said fluttering her eyelashes and I nodded smiling at her.

The ride to FoodieMart was quicker than I thought it would be. Or maybe it had something to do with

Roxy’s odd fascination of being a racecar driver.

We went inside and I grabbed a buggy as Roxy quickly took off down the candy aisle. I shook my head,

chuckling while following her.

I followed after her and indeed she couldn't reach the top shelf. She was trying her hardest though.

I saw her standing on the bottom shelf balancing herself trying to reach a bag of skittles.

I walked over pressing against her back reaching over her to grab it. I tossed the skittles into the cart.

She looked flustered, her cheeks changing a soft shade of pink. She was blushing because of me the

thought made me want to smile.

She quickly moved to stand on the edge of the buggy and smiled at me. I arched an eyebrow looking at

her confusingly.

“What are you doing?” I asked and she smiled sleepily; dramatically placing a hand on her forehead.

“I'm so tired” She said and I shook my head at her pushing her along to the next aisle.

“You know we've only been here for like 10 minutes,” I said, watching as she climbed inside the buggy .

“Yeah 10 minutes too long I’ve grabbed my candy so all my shopping is done” She said and I chuckled.

We gathered all the things on the list. With me having to help her reach for something occasionally.

We were packing the stuff into the car until Roxy started laughing randomly.

“Are you okay?” I asked, glancing at her worriedly.

She nodded “We were so scared when my mom started opening the door" She said and I joined in on

her laughter.

“I know it was so weird how as soon as the dude started opening the door so did your mom” I said and

Roxy nodded.

We got into her car and headed home laughing about the whole thing throughout the whole car ride.

We brought the groceries into the house earning a thanks from her mother.”

“What should we do now” She asked and I shrugged.

“I don't know, there really aren't a whole lot of things we could do” I said and she nodded in agreement.

We just sat on the couch lazily deciding to watch TV. We were fighting over whether we should watch

anime or some dumb movie a vampire and a werewolf fighting over so weird human girl

“Hello Roxanne, did you miss me?” Someone asked, causing me and Roxy's attention to snap towards

them.

It was a woman with brown hair just like Roxy's except hers had blonde streaks in it. In fact the woman

looked just like Roxy except she was a slightly older version.

“What are you doing here?” Roxy asked, growling at the woman who smirked at her, clearly amused by

her reaction.

“Is that anyway to greet your sweet older sister?” the girl asked, eyeing her sister.

“Rachel actually yes you do especially if they leave to go look for their mate without telling their baby

sister” Roxy said glaring at her sister.

I glanced between the two a little taken aback from the whole situation.

Was I prone to sibling arguments. First Brayden and his sister now Roxy and Rachel.

Roxy eyes then widened “Wait the groceries...mom knew you were coming” Roxy yelled jumping up

from the couch heading into the kitchen.

I sat in the living room stunned by the whole thing. A hated seeing Roxy when she was upset.

Her sister then glanced at me with a wide smile spreading across her face.

“Who are you cutie?” She asked and I felt my face start to heat up, not that I was flattered I was

actually a bit uncomfortable.

“Um my name is Aiden,” I said and she walked towards me sitting directly beside me on the couch. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“I like it anyways as you already know my name is Rachel” She said and I nodded.

“How old are you?” She asked moving slowly towards. “Um..I’m 19” I said moving back slightly and her

eyes lit up oblivious to my discomfort..

“Well that’s good I’m 20” She said and I felt a little weirded out by this whole conversation.

“Rachel stop flirting with him” Roxy said returning into the room glaring at her sister.

“Oh I didn't know he was yours…” she sniffed into the air for a moment “I don’t smell your mark on him”

Rachel said and Roxy blushed.

“He isn't...just leave him alone Rachel” Roxy said crossing her arms frustratedly.

“Aww my little sister finally has a crush” Rachel said in a mocking tone clearly enjoying herself.

Roxy had a flustered look on her face before she stomped away. Did she actually like me? I shook my

head to myself; it couldn't be but I wished that was the case.

Her sister was probably just really irritating her I thought.Yeah that made more sense than my first

thought.

“Um well I'll be upstairs” I said to Rachel before standing up to go trying my hardest to get away from

her.

“See you later cutie” She said and I just smiled politely before walking away.

I walked up the stairs quickly letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Is it just me or is Roxy and

her sister complete opposites.

I also really wanted to know why Roxy got so mad. I glanced down the hall towards her room and

sighed. I guess I'll never know.
