Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage 99
Chapter 99 Kenneth Is Also Helping
As Farrah listened to the sound of rain and gazed at the curtain of raindrops before her, she admired the
lush
greenery surrounding her and couldn’t help but reflect, “In this fast–paced life, feeling a touch of nature’s tranquility is truly healing.”
“Yes, but I’ve heard they plan to develop this area into a resort,” the elderly woman sighed, her gaze drifting to the distance. “I wonder what the boss is thinking. To preserve this tranquility, one must have a
certain sentiment.”
At this moment, Farrah hadn’t connected the dots that Adrian could very well be that behind–the–scenes
boss.
She had seen various spiderweb necklaces adorned with droplets of water, each uniquely beautiful, which Ignited a wave of inspiration within her.
“Thank you so much for today. And thank you for the bread. Goodbye!”
“Take care, dear. Be careful not to slip in the rain.”
After bidding farewell, Farrah stepped outside with her small floral umbrella, her mind racing with various images as she eagerly anticipated starting her creative work.
Just as she entered the back courtyard of the guest house, she unexpectedly bumped into Adrian, who was preparing to leave. She hesitated for a moment, her smile fading slightly.
Adrian was surprised to see her there, his cold gaze sweeping over her with a hint of displeasure.
“Don’t misunderstand. I’m not following you!” Sensing his unhappiness, Farrah quickly clarified, “I just came to seek inspiration, and it’s a coincidence that you’re here too.”
She knew he wouldn’t believe her.
His deep–set eyes remained fixed on her, cold and unfriendly. He disliked women who played games.
However, Farrah had no way to defend herself as the situation was indeed too coincidental.
After a moment of silence, Adrian didn’t say anything further and moved forward while holding his umbrella.
Farrah held her breath as he passed by her, feeling a rush of nerves. Only after he walked away did she exhale in relief.
Quickly, she entered the courtyard and went up the stairs.
Back in her room, she turned on her laptop and fully immersed herself in her designs, inspired by her current state.
Before long, it was lunchtime, and she lost track of time.
In the guest house’s best restaurant, Kenneth was overseeing the preparations. He had selected the menu and hired the chef, concerned that Adrian might not enjoy the food here.
Meanwhile, in one of the rooms upstairs, Germaine was excited about the prospect of having lunch with Adrian. She even changed into a new dress, fearing her beauty might not have a chance to shine.
When Adrian returned with his umbrella, he happened to encounter Kenneth.
Kenneth approached him and took the large black umbrella from his hands. “President, Ms. Tate is here, Would you like to invite her to lunch?”
Adrian frowned and turned to look at him.
Kenneth explained, “This morning after you and Ms. Keller checked in, Ms. Tate got out of a cab and mentioned she was here to source inspiration. It seems she didn’t know you were here, and when she saw me, she looked quite surprised. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
“By the way, she asked me not to tell you about her visit, fearing it might disturb you.
Realizing his misunderstanding. Adrian thought, “So that’s why she came here.”
“Should I send her lunch? We made plenty, Kenneth suggested.
Adrian pondered for a moment, then recalled she wanted to keep her identity under wraps. “Send some to her room”
“Alright” Kenneth felt pleased with this decision. After all, the two were married.
Shortly after, there was a knock on the door.
Farrah was busy drawing on her laptop. She turned her head at the sound and confirmed it was coming from her door. She stood up and opened the door curiously
“Kenneth?”
“Hello, Ms Tate” Kenneth held a tray of food, beaming as he said, “This is from Mr. Locke for you.”
Farrah was taken aback, then quickly reached out to accept the tray. “Thank you! Please thank him for me.
“Certainly” Kenneth smiled. “Enjoy your meal. I’ll convey your thanks.”
