hapter 31 Sheila’s Odd Attitude

e Lamborghini stopped at the main entrance, and Adrian and Farrah got out. The manor was far from e hustle and bustle of the city, with plenty of greenery around, making the air feel fresh. It was an :cellent place to retire.
hilip came out of the manor with a hand on his walking cane, smiling as he said, “You’re back, kiddos. s great to see you!”
drian held Farrah’s hand. His warmth made her heart stutter, and she turned to look at him. His indsome face was gentle; she knew he was putting on an act for Philip. “Hi, Grandpa.”

leila gave her a disgusted look before turning to the saint statue before her. She shut her eyes and med the rosary in her bands as she prayed.

Henrietta didn’t move She said, “How many years has it been since then, Sheila? Adrian is already married. Can’t you-
“No, I can’t,” Sheila said coldly. “Now, get out.”
Henrietta didn’t want to piss her off. She sighed heavily and lowered her gaze, saying, “Fine, fine. I shouldn’t have said anything. Don’t get mad. I’ll wait for you right here.”
Sheila continued praying, but her mind wandered to certain events of the past. Her heart felt like it had been gouged out, and the blood wouldn’t stop flowing. She was in immense pain.
Henrietta could understand why Sheila acted the way she did but also felt that time should’ve healed all wounds. It had been long enough; Sheila should’ve moved on by now.
Farrah and Adrian entered the main wing. Philip had long since had someone prepare tasty pastries and tea for them.
Philip asked Farrah to play chess with him. At the same time, he asked a maid, “Where’s Henrietta?”
“She went to the backyard when she saw Mr. Adrian and Madam Farrah were back, sir. I’m guessing she went to inform Madam Sheila,” the maid said.
“Alright.” Philip nodded in satisfaction. He didn’t say anything else.
Farrah played chess with Philip and chatted about life. Adrian watched them, and the atmosphere was peaceful.
An hour soon passed, leaving Farrah confused. Where was Sheila? Wasn’t she the one who wanted to see her? Why had she yet to show up despite Henrietta already informing her?
This lasted until dinnertime, when the maids informed everyone the meal was ready. The chess game: ended, and Philip led Adrian and Farrah to the dining room.
Philip told a maid, “Ask Sheila to come for dinner.”
