Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 73

Happy reading..

The black car was driving at a moderate speed on the icy asphalt road. Night was approaching and Hera was only able to let go of Haidar’s parents. Her face looked tired but the smile that was imprinted could not deny that Hera was also happy.

“It seems my parents made you very tired,” teased Haidar who was busy behind the wheel of the car.

“Yes. But that’s okay because they look happy,” said Hera.

“Of course they are happy. You are the first woman I introduced to them as my girlfriend.”

Hera, who was originally facing the front, now looked at Haidar.

“Is that true?” she asked curiously.

Haidar nodded in response without taking his eyes off the street which was quite busy but not to the point of causing traffic jams.

“Then what about Viona?” asked Hera again.

“Viona?” Haidar’s brow furrowed. “Why suddenly ask about Viona?”

“It doesn’t matter.” Hera leaned back in the car seat. Facing forward and shrugging her shoulders faintly. “Just… I think your relationship is more than a friend. You guys look very familiar,” added Hera. The main goal was to find out the extent of their relationship because Hera knew how Viona felt about Haidar.

“We do get along quite well.”

Hera smiled a little. “Yes. Friendly enough to hug each other.”

Hera’s words almost made Haidar suddenly press the brake pedal which might have caused a small accident because the car behind him was quite close.

“Hera, listen, it’s not what you think,” said Haidar panicked. He couldn’t focus anymore on driving. Haidar chose to pull over his car. He couldn’t continue his journey feeling like this.

“So you saw me hugging Viona earlier?” Haidar asked looking at Hera.

“Yes.” Hera nodded. “I accidentally saw you when I wanted to take a drink earlier.”

“Really, Hera, me and Viona don’t have any relationship. I just think of her like my little sister,” explained Haidar with a look of fear on his face. Gaining Hera’s trust is not easy and Haidar doesn’t want to disappoint her just because of a misunderstanding.

“I don’t know why she suddenly hugged me. It seemed she was having a problem but was reluctant to tell me,” Haidar said again.

He then grabbed Hera’s hand. He held it tightly. “Please believe me, honey. I can’t possibly lie to you. I’m really telling the truth,” said Haidar with a pitiful face that was almost in tears.

Hera could no longer hold back her laughter seeing Haidar’s face which was so funny. The woman laughed uproariously. Meanwhile, Haidar put on a stupid face that seemed like he didn’t know anything, making Hera’s laughter even longer.

“Hei! Why are you even laughing?” asked Haidar in the end with a slightly irritated tone. Was Hera just playing a trick on him?

“You look very funny,” Hera said between her laughter that had not subsided.

Haidar sucked his lips. Even though he had panicked half to death afraid that Hera would misunderstand, the woman laughed at the look on his face. Who wouldn’t be annoyed.

Seeing Haidar silent with a sullen face made Hera feel guilty. She took Haidar’s hand and said, “I believe in you, Haidar.”

The woman took a deep breath. “Although I can’t deny it. There was a bit of jealousy when I saw you and Viona earlier. I seemed to see a flashback to when Jayden had an affair with Elena.” Hera’s face turned sad.

That is what Haidar is afraid of. He didn’t want Hera to think of him the same as Jayden. They were different because Haidar truly loved Hera.

Haidar also held Hera’s hand tightly. He stared into Hera’s brown eyes.

“I’m sorry I made you remember that again. I am yours, Hera and will forever be like that,” Haidar said in a deep voice that made Hera’s stomach tickle.

Haidar then pulled Hera’s body, kissed the woman’s forehead lovingly. Hera closed her eyes. She seemed to really enjoy Haidar’s sweet treatment. It feels like you’re really loved. Maybe Haidar’s treatment will be Hera’s favorite treatment from now on.

They pulled away and then returned to each other’s gaze.

“Because you are mine. That’s why I won’t let anyone take you away from me,” Hera said with a smile and Haidar could only chuckle. A little shy too. Hera was so possessive of him and Haidar liked that.

Elena couldn’t hide how happy she was today. Now her status has changed to Mrs Jayden Xavier, the one and only. She is no longer a woman who snatches people’s husbands. And she doesn’t need to be afraid anymore to be with Jayden in public either. Most importantly, there would no longer be Hera in her and Jayden’s relationship.

The woman had just finished cleaning herself after a long day at her wedding. Elena’s gaze focused on the pile of wedding gifts beside not far from the bed. She can’t wait to open them one by one. It doesn’t matter if the clock shows 1:25 in the morning.

Elena took the first gift with the most luxurious box. The woman was stunned when she opened the box. It turns out that not only the box is luxurious but also the gifts inside.

A set of jewelery from a famous brand encrusted with navy blue diamonds. Very beautiful. thought Elena. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“You’re opening wedding gifts?”

The deep voice made Elena avert her eyes. The woman nodded enthusiastically.

“Look, Jayden!” she said showing the jewelry box to the man who is now her husband.

Jayden walked closer to Elena. He looked carefully at the jewelry box.

“Wow!” Jayden commented smiling. “That’s a diamond from Eligra. One of the most expensive diamonds. Who gives a gift like this?” he asked.

Elena took the jewelry cover because she was so enthusiastic earlier that she forgot to see the name of the sender of the expensive gift. But after flipping through, Elena couldn’t find the sender’s name.

“I don’t know, Jay. There’s no sender’s name here,” Elena said handing Jayden the jewelry cover. The man also checked it.

“Strange. Why isn’t a gift as expensive as this given a name,” Jayden muttered.

“Probably from your mother.”

Jayden shook his head. “Impossible.”

“Why impossible?”

“Because my mom wasn’t that generous, honey,” Jayden replied.

Elena just nodded her head without asking again. She was again busy opening other gifts while Jayden chose to lie down on the bed while checking some of the work files that Roy had sent via email.

More or less, Jayden was curious as to who sent such an expensive wedding gift. And why isn’t it named? Very mysterious. Jayden thought tugging at the corner of his lips. The man then shook his head slowly. There was no time to think about such things. More important work is waiting to be completed soon.
