Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1695

Inside Costello Corporation.

Colby leaned back in the chair of the conference room, listening to the few phrases that kept coming up around him. With a hint of weariness, he spoke up, "Is that everything?" His words instantly brought silence to the room.

Everyone held their breath and watched Colby, fearing that the formidable figure had found some displeasure again.

"It seems everything's in order then."

Colby stood up. Since waking up this morning, he had felt an inexplicable unease, a sensation that certainly wasn't good. Seeing Colby rise, one of the attendees also stood up in a bit of a panic, "Mr. Colby, there are other matters awaiting your..." "What's the point of having you all here if I have to personally see to everything?"

Colby's brow furrowed as he said, "Handle the rest on your own; I have other matters to attend to."

Without another word, Colby left the conference room.

His secretary followed behind, asking, "Mr. Colby, are we heading to Tredgold Corporation next?" "No, back to Aldridge Estate."

The secretary paused upon hearing Colby's answer.

Back to Aldridge Estate?

But there were so many troublesome matters waiting for Colby's attention at the company.

What could possibly be more important than handling official business?

At Aldridge Estate.

When Colby arrived, looking worn from the journey, Jenna and Adler were sitting in the living room, sorting through files on their phones.

The phones weren't sufficient, so they had brought out three laptops and two tablets.

Seeing Colby, they rushed towards him as if seeing a savior.

"Brother, you're finally back. You have no idea what kind of days your sister has been living!"

"Bro-in-law, you've got to help me out. If this keeps up, you won't see your sister or me anymore."

Adler complained as he spoke, "Sophie's tactics are just too ruthless! Where did she learn all these tricks? I dare not utter a word about wanting to work in front of her ever again!"

"Where's Sophie?"

Colby completely ignored their pleas. He had felt something was off since Waking up, and by noon, be hurried back after pushing through meetings.

But upon his return, he hadn't seen Sophie.

This only added to his unease.

"I don't know, she left this morning."

Jenna looked puzzled, "You two didn't have a fight, did you?"

"Impossible. They've both been so busy they hardly have time to see each other, let alone fight! They're not time management experts!"

Adler firmly defended his brother-in-law.

"Did she mention where she was going?"

"No, but with the current turmoil

among the four major families, it's normal for Sophie to go out and lend a hand. Don't make a fuss and scare yourself. You know what kind of person your wife is. Are you afraid she's out there looking for another man?" novelbin

After pouring her heart out to her brother, Jenna only received his back as he turned and left.

"Hey, hey! Don't go! I haven't finished talking yet!"

Seeing Colby leave, Jenna stamped her foot in frustration.

Now that Adler had grown wings, Jenna realized she couldn't control her brother anymore.

What a situation this was!
