Chapter 39 Her Brother Is Fierce
On the other side of the lake. Charlie recognized Eileen. She was chatting with a person in at wheelchair, but the distance was too great to hear what they were saying.
Eileen occasionally smiled.
Vera walked among them with a girl named Jasmine. Both girls walked together, followed by
Elm and others.
Jasmine was stunned as she looked around.
“Everything is so beautiful here! The lake here is even bigger than our school’s football field.”
“Yes. I may get lost here if I don’t know the way. Vera said.
Charlie signaled Albert to look.
Who else could it be if not Eileen? But….
Who was the man next to her?
How come he had never seen him before?
Did Eileen find a substitute since Elm didn’t like her?
Why did she choose someone sitting in a wheelchair?
Eileen was amusing.
“I appreciate it. Thank you for chatting with me so much.”
Richard suddenly came over and whispered in Jasper’s ear. Jasper frowned and said, “I see…”
After that, Jasper gently said, “I’m sorry. I have to go now to settle something urgent.”
Eileen waved her hand and said, “It’s alright. I should be the one thanking you.”
Eileen stood up and watched him leave.
She never expected to meet him here.
She thought he was the same age as her, but he turned out to be three years older.
However, chatting with him felt very comfortable.
When Eileen was about to leave, Walsh suddenly appeared with a milk bottle. Walsh was sweating. She must have gone to the store to buy it for her.
“Eileen, I want to be friends with you. I’m not the same as them! I apologize for today.” Walsh said while deeply bowing to Eileen.
Walsh had an average appearance, with freckles on her chubby face. Her family were all officials, so she was not bullied at school.
Eileen was outstanding and inherited her looks from her mother in comparison. Walsh seemed like a typical student when standing beside Eileen.
When Eileen was not smiling, she gave people the impression of being unfriendly. It was enchanting when she smiled. Eileen usually prefers not to smile,
Eileen took the milk and said, “Walsh, I’m used to being alone. I may even be moved to Lumiose after graduation. A friendship takes time to maintain, and if there’s no time for us
maintain it, we’ll still end up being strangers.
“You know my situation in the class. I don’t want to drag you down.”
“Lumiose was just a small city. Why would you go there? But these are not important. More importantly, even if you don’t become my best friend, please don’t ignore me when I want to chat with you.”
Eileen nodded and said, “I won’t ignore you as long as my studies aren’t disturbed.”
“Thank you for being so kind, Eileen!” Walsh happily said
In fact, Eileen didn’t quite understand Walsh’s intentions. Eileen was not interested in making new friends. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
When Eileen was about to leave, she saw Elm. Elm wore a black jacket with a plaster cast on her left hand.
Eileen even saw Vera. Vera has often appeared in front of her recently. She somehow could not escape it.
Walsh said, “The person in front of us is called Vera. She was a new student here. I heard that Elm liked her. I’m unsure whether the two of them are in a relationship.”
“I heard that Vera even had a non biological brother. Her brother is fierce and does not allow Vera to start a relationship. Her brother might not know Vera came to our school.”
The brother she mentioned was Eric.

Eileen was curious and asked. “How did you know all of these?”
Walsh replied, “I saw it on our school’s forum. Someone even saw Elm get drunk and ride at motorcycle with Vera.”
“It only took one night. Everyone knew Vera. The person next to her was called Jasmine.”
Eileen pondered for a while. She indeed did not know what Walsh had mentioned. She was not interested in knowing about others’ gossip too.
Eileen usually has a busy day filled with classes and extracurriculars.
Vera and Elm…
It was impossible to even think about it.
Apart from true love, Eileen would know that Eric had strayed first if Vera and Elm fell in love.
There were still forty minutes before class when Eileen returned to the classroom.
The time was enough to complete a set of test papers. What she learned was hers, and no one could help her.
Eileen took out a set of English papers and started working on them.
Suddenly, someone kicked her chair.
Eileen said without looking up, “What’s the matter?”
“Hey!”
Elm?
Eileen raised her head and saw Elm with a face full of smiles.
Eileen knew what it was about and quickly lowered her face. She said, “What do you need?”
This was the first time Elm saw her being so gentle.
