Chapter 590 I Didn’t Get Married
Chapter 590 I Didn’t Get Married
The more hesitant Bethany was with her words, the more Mrs. Faber thought there was a problem.
After saying this, Bethany left.
On the way to Clarissa’s house, Bethany spent five hundred dollars getting soup sent over to Caleb’s.
She didn’t write her name or address, only recording that it had been sent from Genovia. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Meanwhile, the more Mrs. Faber thought about it, the more troubled she became. At noon, Damien and
Neil returned.
“Mr. Lawrence, I have something to tell you.” After thinking about it for a long time, Mrs. Faber knew
that the matter was of great importance and decided to come clean about it.
“Neil, go play upstairs.” After settling Neil, Damien sat on the couch. “Tell me, then.”
“Bethany came to see me and brought me some medication today. When I went to get her some water,
she was answering a phone call. It was Clarissa. She was saying something about aborting the baby,
and Bethany told her to take more rest. Mr. Lawrence, do you…” Mrs. Faber had no idea that Clarissa
was pregnant again.
Damien’s expression turned thunderous.
It seemed Clarissa’s conversation with Chanel had been purposely designed to lower Chanel’s guard.
After all, he had told her himself he had married Chanel. Clarissa might not have trusted Chanel to tell
her the truth, and so had said that the child was someone else’s when it was in fact his.
And now, she wanted to abort it!
Damien snatched the car keys from the coffee table and rushed out.
“Mr. Lawrence, are you coming home for dinner tonight?” Mrs. Faber shouted after him.
“I’m not coming home tonight!”
In the car, Damien lit up a cigarette. The hand holding it trembled slightly.
After he finished smoking, he felt more composed. In the end, he swore, “Fuck.”
He sped over to Clarissa’s house.
He didn’t state who he was, but Clarissa opened the door the moment he knocked without even asking
who it was.
Clarissa’s face was pale and bloodless.
Damien gritted his teeth hard.
As Damien walked into the house, he made a gesture at Clarissa, who followed him into the bedroom.
After closing the door, Damien glanced at Clarissa’s desk. There was a book titled, The Ultimate Guide
to Pregnancy.
In the past, she had fooled him once. However, that was fake.
This time, he hoped it was fake as well.
“Have you aborted it?” he asked Clarissa.
Shocked, Clarissa looked at him and took a couple of steps back. “How did you know?”
“Have you really aborted it?” he asked through clenched teeth.
Sitting on the bed, he pulled Clarissa into his embrace, caging her in.
Clarissa was pained and kept struggling to escape. As she did, she said, “Don’t do this… It won’t be
good for Chanel to find out about this. You’re married to her now. You’re openly searching out for a
mistress. Everyone will despise it.”
“Let them!” Damien was infuriated. “Tell me. Why did you abort it?”
Clarissa looked extremely pressed. “I’m a single woman and a university teacher. How am I supposed
to care for a child? How will the people at the university see me? What can I do but abort it?”
Then, tears started falling down Clarissa’s face like pearls.
Her crying made Damien even more torn.
Had he known about this earlier, he wouldn’t have lied about getting married to Chanel.
He swallowed, and clutched Clarissa harder. He enunciated, “I didn’t get married!”
“Don’t lie to me! You even have a marriage certificate. How dare you lie to me now! Don’t you dare try
and make me your mistress. I won’t do it!” Clarissa started crying even more violently. Her tears fell
onto Damien’s pants as she sobbed.
