His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 558

Hatred and despair coursed through her as she clenched her fists tightly. "Revenge, huh? Killing Casper wasn't enough for you? Now you're after me and my child, Manuel? Aren't you scared of karma biting back?" "Karma?" He laughed, more crazed than ever. "If karma were real, Casper should've been gone long ago. He died too late, and way too easily. No, I'm not satisfied, not happy at all." "You're a freak. A clown." She spat at him in disgust.

He raised his hand, ready to slap her, but hesitated. "I'll keep you around for a bit of sport. I think Casper would get a kick out of seeing you down there."

"Manuel, you've really outdone yourself, putting on this 'perfect gentleman' act. Must be exhausting, right?" Eliza mocked, her gaze turning icy. "I'm worried you'll play yourself to death." "Don't you worry." He gently patted her cheek. "The game's far from over. How could I miss the fun?"

The door slammed open.

Chelsea walked in, instantly tensing up at the sight of Manuel looming over Eliza on the hospital bed. "Manuel, what are you doing?"

She rushed forward, shoving him away.

Her eyes were full of concern for Eliza. "Did he hurt you? Are you okay?"

Eliza shook her head softly.

Turning to Manuel, Chelsea's anger flared. "Don't push your luck, or I'll call the cops."

Manuel shrugged, smirking. He gestured to the fruits he'd brought. "Eliza, don't forget to eat the fruits. They're good for the baby."

Chelsea's face was a mix of disbelief and frustration.

Once Manuel left, she turned back to Eliza. "Manuel's a nutcase. I'll chuck those fruits later."

"Chelsea, did you get the baby formula tested?"

Chelsea nodded, handing Eliza the test report. "The results are in. The formula was tampered with."novelbin

"Here." Eliza handed her phone to Chelsea. I've got a recording of my conversation with Manuel. Take it, along with the test report, to the police."

Chelsea looked puzzled, glancing at the phone before meeting Eliza's eyes. "What did he say?"

"He admitted to poisoning the

formula, and he also..." Eliza's voice

Sught barely a whisper, "...he also

said Casper's death was his doing."

Chelsea was stunned, her mind reeling.

How did Casper get dragged into this?

Eliza briefly recounted what Manuel had said.

Chelsea gasped. "To think he'd go this far, it really shows his true nature."

If he were truly good-hearted, he wouldn't have such twisted thoughts.

Accidents happen, nobody wants that. Losing a loved one is painful, but does it give him the right to harm others?

"Let's call the police first. As for Casper's situation..."

He was gone, having died in Africa.

The pilvolved in the crash waret seemed impossible. Conte velet

also dead. Filing a case here

She hoped the recording would ensure Manuel faced serious consequences.

At least, with his intent to harm her, the police might offer her protection. Regardless, Casper was gone, and no one was left to protect her at all costs. She left it all to fate.
