Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1258

Sydney's face went pale, a stark shift from Corbyn's usual lukewarm, but never openly hostile, demeanor toward her. It seemed like Corbyn had started to grow tired of her presence.

"Alright, everyone, listen up!" Corbyn called out, motioning for the entire clinic to gather around. "Flora here is my newly adopted sister. In this clinic, she has the run of the place! When you see her, treat her as you would treat me!" Sister?!

The entire clinic staff was in shock! They had expected Corbyn might take Flora on as an apprentice, but adopting her as a sister? That was a twist no one saw coming!

Sydney looked like she'd been struck by lightning. Sister???

"What are you all standing around for? Call her Ms. Flora!" Corbyn shouted, irritated by their stunned silence.

Finally, snapping out of their daze, everyone bowed to Flora, echoing, "Ms. Flora!"

They were still wrapping their heads around it. How could Corbyn, nearly a hundred years old, have a sister as young as Flora, who was just twenty? The world was truly crazy!

"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear me?" Corbyn's frown deepened as he noticed Sydney still hadn't moved.

"I..." Sydney bit her lip, struggling with the idea of respectfully calling Flora 'Ms. Flora.' It just seemed impossible!

But with Corbyn's eyes locked on her, she hesitantly muttered, "Ms. Flora!"

Her nails were digging into her palms.

Only then did Corbyn let her off the hook, turning to Flora with a softer tone. "Sister, if anyone here disrespects you or makes you unhappy, you have my blessing to put them in their place."

Now that Flora was his sister, he was determined to protect her! He'd worked hard to get Flora to visit the clinic, and he wasn't about to let a bunch of idiots ruin it.

"Got it." Flora was already used to the title, and she smiled a little, her eyes flickering over to Sydney, sending a chill down her spine.

"Come on, let's head up to the fourth floor," Corbyn said eagerly. "You've got a new prescription, right? Let's go over it together." That's why he was here, after all!

Flora nodded and followed Corbyn

upstairs. On their way, she spotted a trash can and casually tossed in the scribbled prescription she'd

no

longer needed, having not found a

bin earlier.

Sydney stayed put in the lobby, her eyes burning with bitterness and envy. Corbyn had actually made Flora his sister. Why her?!

After all these years of grafting at the clinic she still hadn't become Corbyn's apprentice. Yet Flora

waltzes in and instantly becomes his sister, earning everyone's respect in the clinic! en

It was eating her up inside!

Suddenly, an idea sparked, and Sydney grabbed her phone, dialing a number.

"Hey, Hawthorn, the elite family member training assessment has started, right? About the task I gave you..."

"Don't worry, sister-in-law, I'll take care of it. I won't let those two from the Gilbert family off the hook."

Hearing Hawthorn's words, a sly smile crept onto Sydney's face.

If she couldn't go head-to-head with Flora, she'd hit where it hurt.NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

It was their fault for being friends with Flora!

After hanging up, Sydney sauntered upstairs, aiming for the library on the second floor.

The clinic's assessment was about to kick off too. Every disciple had to submit an original prescription for the clinic's seniors to evaluate. The winner earning the top spot, would get the chance to become Corbyn's apprentice.
