Chapter 50: Troubles
Chapter 50: Troubles
The next morning, at the door of the Civil Affairs Bureau
Felicity held the already obtained marriage certificate in her hand. Jason had left in a hurry after
finishing the procedures to hold the shareholders' meeting.
The marriage certificate was like getting a new ID card…
She had thought that Jason would wake up and would have forgotten last night’s nonsense, but Felicity
didn't expect that he would really bring her to the Civil Affairs Bureau first thing in the morning.
They were married… But shouldn't there be a romantic ceremony?
Wasn't this considered the happiest moment in every girl's life? The moment when she steps into the
wedding hall in the beautiful wedding gown?
What did she just do? She got married? And that to a man she met less than a month ago?
After realizing her reality, Felicity felt a little aggrieved for some time, as if she had something important
taken away from her. Although this was something she couldn’t even dream of, it was too careless and
sloppy.
What about the proposal? What about the ring? What about wedding photos? What about the wedding
itself?
There was no sense of heartfelt ritual. They just got a marriage certificate and the groom left her there
in a hurry. Was Jason kidding her?
Felicity sighed silently. It was useless to think about it now. Anyway, he had already left for work. It was
time for her to find a job too.
After thinking about it, she felt sure that the design work was more suitable for her. She decided to
stand up right where she fell.
Therefore, Felicity took a taxi to a clothing company, ready to apply for a job.
…
In a coffee shop, Hannah and Oliver met Amanda.
The two people have already told Amanda about Felicity and Jason.
Originally, they thought that Amanda would be particularly shocked to receive such a report from them
and their efforts would be greatly appreciated.
But Amanda looked particularly calm. After all, Sylvia had already told Amanda about it a long time
ago; it was no surprise for her.
However, since the two people in front of her were willing to stand on her side in the battler, it showed
that they were worth keeping around.
Hannah was not going to let this chance go. She thought hard about it and then added, "The night
Felicity and Jason met, and they spent a night in the same hotel room."
This information was very explicit. Amanda leaned forward sharply, frowning. She asked, "Are you
sure?"
Hannah nodded firmly, "Yes, I'm sure!"
Hearing this, Amanda's heart sank for a moment, and her heart filled with anger.
Jason had never been close to women. Countless women in the city want to climb into his bed, but he
never gave anyone a chance. How did Felicity succeed at it?
Felicity seemed like a woman who knew what she was doing, she was not simple at all, and the
relationship between them was not so easy to break.
Amanda needed to be extra vigilant.
Seeing Amanda's reaction, Hannah felt elated for a while as she finally got to hear what she wanted.
"Thank you for telling me that. Name your price! What do you want in return for this?"
Amanda was a proud woman who never kept any resentment or gratitude unpaid. She didn’t like being
in anyone’s debt.
Oliver shook his head tactfully, "Oh! Please, there’s no need for courtesy, Miss Sullivan. We just
couldn’t bear to see you being cheated. Felicity is not worthy of Jason!"
Amanda was impressed with Oliver’s integrity. As a little token of appreciation, Amanda gave Hannah
the expensive purse she just bought.
"This is LV's latest release. I just bought it and used it today for the first time. I would like to give it to
you, unless you don’t like it!"
Hannah was flattered. Her eyes lit up and she quickly accepted it. "Thank you, Miss Sullivan! I love
it…”
How could she not like it? This was her dream purse. She had wanted to buy it so much.
"If there is any new information, feel free to contact me. And if you need anything, don’t hesitate to
come to me!"
Amanda smiled, thinking that this small gift was not enough, she also left them a business card, and
offered to help them with anything before leaving.
After seeing her walk away, Oliver frowned a little and reprimanded Hannah, "You shouldn't have
accepted the LV purse. You're too impatient!"
"She gave it to me as a gift. It would have been rude to refuse!"
Hannah was a little confused. Amanda clearly said to accept it if she didn’t dislike it, so if she had
refused… would it mean that she disliked it?
"She was just being polite, and it was most likely a test to check your temptation. If we can really help
her, then there would be bigger benefits in the future. We shouldn’t have looked so eager to accept
things."
Oliver, who was well versed in social affairs, spoke so well that he convinced Hannah, "I see your
point… I just couldn’t stop myself. I'm sorry... "
Hannah really didn't think of this before. Fortunately, Oliver pointed it to her in time. However, she
thought about it and asked seriously, "If you are by my side in the future, we can get everything, right?"
With Oliver giving her advice, will she have everything she wanted?
After listening to Hannah say this, Oliver suddenly felt a little sick in his heart. In fact, he was not with
Hannah because he loved her, but because it was profitable…
Hannah and his parents were identical as people, selfish and egoistic.
How could he ever be any different? It was just that sometimes he would just feel something in his
heart…
Although both of the sisters had the surname James, the gap between their personalities was huge.
On the surface, Oliver did not show anything, just quietly nodded.
After Amanda returned to the company, Sylvia rushed to the office with something urgent to report. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Go ahead." Amanda nodded.
Sylvia took out some photos from her briefcase and said, "Miss Sullivan, these are the latest
developments in regards to Mr. Reed and Felicity James..."
Amanda took the photos and looked at them carefully one by one.
A photo was taken in a pub, but in it Felicity was with another man. They were chatting; the man was
looking Felicity with love in his eyes.
In the next ones, Jason was standing at the door of the pub facing Felicity, who was holding the other
man’s arm in hers, and behaving very intimate with him.
At last, it seemed that Jason left angrily leaving the other two behind at the pub.
Amanda’s expressions got angrier and angrier with each photo. Felicity thought too much of herself.
She was going on romantic dates with other men and even making Jason angry?
If Jason took the initiative in finding Felicity’s whereabouts, then it clearly showed her status in his
heart.
This made Amanda extremely angry.
Looking at Amanda’s face turn uglier by the second, Sylvia didn’t dare to say anything. She was afraid
that Amanda would take out all anger on her.
Amanda stared at the photos for a long time, and then finally threw them on the table.
She ordered Sylvia, “It seemed like our visit was not enough for her. Continue to keep an eye on
her!"
