Chapter 1221
Theodore spoke fiercely, and Aurora seemed to be frightened by it. She sat up on the bed and wrapped the sheets around her body, shivering.
"I suddenly remembered the places that my ex-boyfriend might be hiding and wanted to tell you about it, but the moment I stepped into your room, you pushed me onto the bed," Aurora said, biting her lip and lowering her head as tears trickled down her cheeks.
Theodore tried hard to recall what happened last night based on Aurora's claims, but he felt as though he lost a part of his memories last night. He couldn't imagine himself doing what Aurora claimed.novelbin
"You mean that I forced myself upon you?"
"I...I didn't mean that," Aurora said, gripping the sheets tightly. "Theo, you wanted me and I was certainly willing to give myself to you. You didn't force me to do anything. I thought you wanted me last night. I didn't expect you to question me the moment you woke up. What happened? Did I do something wrong?"
Theodore recalled that he seemed to have lost control of his emotions last night and thought he saw Rosalie.
Was he disoriented by the medication?
Theodore felt his head pounding hard. He grabbed his clothes and put them on before heading to the washroom.
At the door of the washroom, Theodore stopped in his tracks and turned to say to Aurora, "Wear your clothes and go back to your room." Theodore felt frustrated to no end, as if tragedy had struck him. He slammed the washroom door shut with a bang.
Aurora lowered her head as tears fell.
More than an hour later, Aurora stood at the window, watching Theodore drive off.
What did Theodore think of what happened last night? He refused to speak to her about it. Was he going to shirk responsibility? Aurora lowered her head and caressed her flat stomach. Would she be able to get pregnant with Theodore's child?
With the bottle of pills in hand, Theodore went to his doctor and explained the situation to him.
After hearing him out, the doctor remained silent for a while before picking up the bottle to check the contents.
"Mr. Spencer," he said, "from the time you were prescribed these pills, there shouldn't be so few of them left. Have you been exceeding the prescribed dosage?"
"You mean that I might lose control of myself if I exceed the dosage, or there might be other side effects affecting my mood?" Theodore asked.
"It's not certain for now, but there are
many side effects to this pill,
especially if you don't adhere to the
prescribed dosage. I think you should try stopping this medication for the time being." Content belongs
"No, I can't stop taking this," Theodore said solemnly. "I can't sleep without it. Perhaps you could prescribe me something with fewer side effects?"
"There are many side effects to such
psychoactive drugs. Even if I
prescribe you something with fewer side effects, it might not be suitable given your condition and it might be counterproductive," the doctor replied.

A moment later, he suggested, "How about this? I'll prescribe you some sleeping pills to help you sleep, but you must adhere to the dosage and not exceed it. Else, you might become dependent on it."
Theodore glanced at the bottle of pills on the table as doubt filled his mind. He took it and put it in his pocket. "Give me some sleeping pills, then." "You can't take those pills if I give you sleeping pills," the doctor said.
"I got it," Theodore said. "Prescribe that to me."
The doctor said nothing further and prescribed Theodore some sleeping pills. However, he didn't prescribe him much out of worry that Theodore might exceed the dosage again.
