Chapter 72
"And here comes the one that is always late among us." The playful looking man remarked as he got up from his seat and walked towards Rose who was still on the floor. He stretched his hand towards her to help her up. Nicholas still had frowns on his face, his gaze was glued on Rose wondering why and what a girl was doing here.
"Are you okay?" The playful looking man asked after Rose managed to take his hand while using her other hand to rub her head which the door had hit.
"I think I'm fine. Thank you Mister." Rose slowly replied and got up to her feet. Just as she thought, she was still short just by standing next to the man.
"Nicholas, you came late today? What is the cause of your lateness today?" The second man asked as he glanced at their fourth friends who were still standing by the door with his gaze on Rose.
"I had something to take care of." Nicholas replied and finally looked away from Rose and glanced at his friend.
"You're alway have something to do and keep us waiting for you." The second retorted back at him.
"I think you should take a seat, your forehead is already red." Ignoring both of his friends, the playful looking man said to Rose when he saw how red it already was. So he led her to a seat, not sure of what to do. When the other heard him, they all turned to look at their direction including Alex and his gaze darkened upon seeing her red forehead. Because Rose had really fair skin, it made the wound pop out very well.
"What are we going to do about this?" The playful looking man asked, a bit of worry seen on his face as he pointed at the red wound.
"This is all your fault, Nicholas. Not only did come late but nearly killed a poor girl." He turned to look at Nicholas and accused him.
Nicholas nearly rolled his eyes at his remark. "You can't blame me like that, Christopher. I didn't know she was standing by the door when I was coming in." He defended him from Christopher's accusations as he closed the door behind him.
"I know you'd say. You cunning nerd guy. You should apologize to the girl." Christopher demanded still blaming Nicholas for what happened.
Nicholas glanced at where Rose was sitting and saw that it was indeed a very big wound and felt a bit guilty. "I apologize for that." He curtly said.
"Oh, no-" Rose was about to say something but was cut off by the second man in the room.
"We should take her to a hospital to treat the wound, since Benjamin isn't here." The second man suggested. Benjamin was also their friend, but he is currently out of the country.
"I agree with Edward too. And you should be the one to take her because you're the only who caused it." Christopher nodded his head in agreement with Edward.
"Excuse me." Rose finally spoke. She had just quietly been watching how the three men had been making decisions with her consent.
"I think I have a say in this matter since I'm the one getting hurt." She said after gaining everyone's attention including Alex who had been quiet all this while.
"That's true. What do you have to say? Since this nerd guy came late and caused you the injury, he should be the one to take you to hospital right?" Christopher said, pointing at the quiet Nicholas.
"No, that isn't what I meant. It's not totally Mister's fault for what happened. I was a bit too slow to react when the door opened and as this wound it would totally heal by itself. There is no need for any hospital." Rose remark.
The three raise a brow at her word.
They couldn't help but wonder if this little girl knew who they were. It's obvious that she doesn't, if not she wouldn't have refused their offer so casually. While his three friends were still surprised at her words, Alex was different. He just continued to stare at her red forehead but
didn't say anything.
"You have all helped me enough so I will be taking my leave now." Rose stood up, bowed at them again and was about to make her way to the door, but Nicholas quickly grabbed her shoulder.

outside were tooking for? I don't think you should go out just yet." Nicholas said. Recalling his conversation with Rey earlier when he said he was looking for a 'She'. He had a feeling that Rey hadn't and was still hanging around waiting for her to come out.

Rose turned to look at him and blinked her eyes at what he said. It's true she knew that Rey might be waiting outside for her given his persistent attitude he had shown her earlier. However, she thought of coming up with a plan to avoid him later But that was her least worry now, she took a proper look at Nicholas's face and felt like he looked familiar to that annoying person she had met today at school. 'Could they be related?' she thought to herself but shook off the thought.
"I know that." She finally replied.
"Wait, and you still want to leave?" Edward couldn't help but ask in disbelief.
"Why don't you just stay here for a bit more." Christopher suggested.
Rose opened her mouth to resist them but was suddenly cut off by Alex.
"You should sit and do as they say." For the first he spoke and looked at Rose. He looked away and ignored the surprised stares from his friend. Rose contemplated it for a few seconds, before slowly nodding her head in agreement. Christopher quickly pulled out a chair for Rose to sit down. "If you mind me asking, how do you have an encounter with that person looking for you?" Nicholas suddenly asked after he took his seat as well.
His question also made the rest very curious, including Alex but he was good at masking his expression better than the rest.
"Who was the person looking for her?" Edwards curiously asked. It seems like Nicholas had met the person chasing after Rose.
"Rey Mason, the general manager of HYL entertainment." Nicholas calmly told them. In an instant the three other men's expressions darkened upon the mention of the name.
